The federal economic stimulus plan, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, will provide over $2,000,000 of grants to Lake Geneva Wisconsin’s schools this year. The city of Lake Geneva will be getting the Wrigley Drive bridge rebuilt and a $10K grant Justice Assistance Grant from the Federal Government Act.
Lake Geneva Joint 1 school district will receive over $1.5 M in grants, while Badger High will receive over $667 K in grants. Walworth County will receive $420K in energy efficiency community block grants and $364K for Child Support Enforcement.
Our congressman, Paul Ryan ,voted againest these funds; whereas senators Feingold and Kohl voted for this funding.
